Day 49: Shelby, MT (23.6.2024)
Good morning everyone, after a – I’ll say: American Standard breakfast (coffee and nothing else) – I set off again at around 09:30 to rush towards the next destination for the day. This should be the town of Shelby, Montana, almost exactly 650km away. I just wanted to get over the long stretches in northern Montana, along the US2, which were so terribly monotonous in the car. The many oil and fracking facilities in North Dakota soon became fewer in Montana, but the many thousands of green hills became more and more high. I took a few photos along the way and was stopped by a state trooper. You’ll soon find out what he wanted from me in our book…
