Day 58: Phoenix, AZ (2.7.24)

Hello everyone and nice to have you all back.
The hotel in Indio was super clean and spacious, only the breakfast was lacking this time too. Maybe they should move Alfons Schuhbeck to a prison in America so that he can show them how to do something like that.
I had planned the route to Phoenix so that I could drive via Brawley and Blythe, both towns that RAAM (Race Across America) drivers also have to pass through.
First desert again, then flatland along Salton Lake, then hilly driving through huge sand dunes and then flatland again with fields that didn't want to stop. But at some point it was there, the big city of Phoenix in Arizona. And Phoenix went one better than yesterday in terms of cozy atmosphere - because it's 118 degrees Fahrenheit here, which is 47.8 degrees Celsius. Hooray!
