Day 55: Vallejo, CA (29.6.24)

Good morning from the Golden State, as California is also called. Which means today’s motto is: In the Golden State to the Golden Gate. My Motel 6 in Redding was spartan but clean, which is still no reason to stay here longer. With Mount Shasta behind me, I drove south towards San Francisco. The landscape was a mix of apple orchards and dry tumbleweeds. And it stayed that way until we reached our destination in Vallejo, before which I briefly turned west to see the goddess (under the bridges) again. All other experiences, as always in the book.
