Day 54: Redding, CA (28.6.24)

Hello everyone, my little room at the Budget Inn in Madras, Oregon was pretty much internet free, although it’s always good in the afternoons. I’m firmly convinced that they turn it off at night. What can I say: the bill paid off, because I was gone again at 8. About 30 miles after Madras, Smith Rock State Park was right along the way, a very nice climbing area with impressive walls. The rest of the route led through a lot of forest and only after the border with California did things get interesting again with the sight of Mount Shasta. The long descent to Redding, the destination, was relaxed and yet it was a long day with over 500km.
