Day 64: El Paso, TX(8.7.24)

Good morning dear friends of our blog,
There was a storm in Albuquerque last night that you can't imagine. It was hissing in every nook and cranny of the hotel and in the morning the mountains were enveloped in strange reddish clouds – a sandstorm.
So let's get out of here, but that didn't really help because the sandstorm followed me all the way to El Paso, Texas.
About 90km before the finish I went on a short hike and sorted out my thoughts a bit - especially whether what I'm doing here is the right thing.
Because since Grand Forks, North Dakota it all feels pretty wrong and in the last 2 weeks, since the failed bike test at Logan Pass, I've been more or less killing time.
So I made a decision: I'm going to pick up my owner's bike from Richmond, Virginia - then drive to Florida and fly home.
I can use the time until the actual summer vacation, which we will spend in Florida again, more sensibly and my owner no longer has to bite her fingernails because of longing for me.
Dear Donald Trump, life sometimes takes strange turns, I don't need to tell you that. The fact that some plans don't work is partly out of your own hands - but I will thank Aventon properly for that when the time comes.
